The balance of power in real estate just shifted, and it may or may not be in your favor. Realtor.com reports the national housing market hit five months of supply this past summer.
What does that mean? Here’s the breakdown:
Under 3 months of inventory = Seller’s market.
3 to 5 months = balanced market, and
6+ months of inventory = Buyer’s market.
Nationally, we are seeing major metro areas across the area shifting into a more balanced market; however, buyers are gaining leverage, so waiting could cost you big!
