The East Bay has been in a seller’s market for quite some time, and while it varies between neighborhoods and cities, generally, it’s an ideal time to list your home. What about personal circumstances? Have there been recent changes in your life such as a growing family, career change or a desire to have a simpler life that tells you it’s time for a change? Maybe it’s financial readiness. Financial readiness cannot be overlooked.
Are you in a better position financially to list your home than you were a couple of years ago, and find a replacement property? And finally what about the future outlook? The market ebbs and flows are influenced by economic indicators such as inflation, interest rates, and future global events. These can all affect the timing of when to sell or stay put. Ultimately here is the bottom line: the decision to sell your home is not only about market timing but also aligning with your life’s timing. So, when you ask yourself whether or not to sell, it is important to consider all these factors but more importantly the best time to sell is when it’s right for you.
