To sell or not to sell!!! I know, I know, it’s so crazy and scary especially right now to know what to do. Should you wait? Is the market going to go up? Is the market going to go down? What should I do?

Truth be told, no one has a crystal ball or can tell what the future holds but there are things to consider before listing your home. Do you have to sell? If you’ve got a job transfer or going through a divorce and the only option is selling, well then, selling is a good option. Oftentimes, something in your life has changed and selling is a key part of your decision. According to Bankrate, and I quote “Deciding whether it’s the right time to sell your home is a very personal decision. There are important questions to consider both financially and lifestyle-based before putting your home on the market, and all should be considered.”
So while mortgage rates remain on the higher side than in previous years, as a seller your lifestyle change may matter more, prompting you to sell.
Here is another question: If you were to sell right now and you would be able to walk away with x amount of money, would you be happy with the proceeds? If the answer is yes, and you really want to sell, well, it may not make sense to wait and see what happens with the market. Sellers are often surprised on how much equity they have in their home in today’s market allowing them to move into another location.
