5 Myths about Real Estate!! With all the headlines and changes in the real estate market, how do you know what or who you should believe? I have 5 myths that I want to bust for you right now! Hi, I’m Tanja Odzak, Our East Bay Home brokered by eXp Realty. So let’s dive right in.
- Myth #1 – I need 20% (twenty percent) down to buy a home. That’s not the case, there are so many loan types and loan options out there, some even for zero down! You don’t know what you may be able to qualify for unless you ask the right questions and talk to the right people. .
- Myth #2 – I’ll never qualify to buy a home. The question to ask here is: have you talked to someone? Have you gotten a second opinion? The right agent and lender is crucial in finding out what you qualify for, and a better agent will help steer you in the right direction!
- Myth #3 – this myth is in regards to selling your current home – and it is “I need to price my home with room to negotiate.” This can be a costly myth. By hiring an experienced agent who is a Master Certified Negotiation Expert, which I am, you can have the peace of mind knowing that the pricing of your home, and the negotiations, are in good hands!
- Myth #4 – The less commission I pay, the more I will make. Have you ever heard the expression “you get what you pay for?” It’s the same with real estate agents. You will pocket more with experience and marketing than with discount commissions.
- Myth #5 – All agents are the same. Would you say that about you and your profession? I’m sure you would NOT! And honestly, that’s so far from the truth! Agents can have unique offerings that make them stand out from the crowd. Real estate is not a hobby for me… I’m a dedicated real estate professional who utilizes my unique digital marketing strategy and experience to help my clients get the best deal on their home, or sell for the maximum return on their property. In fact, the reason why less than 1% of homes for sale out there have an actual commercial on social media is because this is a HIGHLY SPECIALIZED SKILL.
