However, your home must be priced right to spark buyer interest. If you’re priced too high, your home might get a buyers passing through, but it will sit. If you’re priced just right, you attract multiple offers, which means better terms and a higher selling price for you.
Also, aim to make your home move-in ready, if that’s possible. Today’s buyers are being pickier and getting what they want. Most want turnkey homes that are updated, staged, and well-maintained. Even small upgrades like fresh paint and modern fixtures can increase your
home’s value by attracting more buyers, thus giving you more leverage in negotiations.
Also, consider doing a buyer incentive and flex terms to help you stand out from the
competition. Maybe offer a credit towards your buyer’s closing costs or a rate buy-down to help with the buyer’s affordability. This doesn’t mean you have to agree to all the buyer’s requests, but it does mean needing a solid and experienced agent on your side to help through these negotiations.
